Matthew Morton Practice Matthew Morton primarily practices in the areas of foreclosure defense, civil litigation, consumer rights and general litigation. Prior to joining Mowrey Law Firm Mathew had thorough experience in residential foreclosures representing banks and lending institutions. He also worked with The Department of Children and Family Services representing the State of Florida in their efforts to protect abused and neglected children as well as working for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation prosecuting contractors and others involved in the construction industry for violations of regulations of their contractor's license. Professional Experience Matthew began his law career working in the insurance defense field representing professionals accused of malpractice. Matthew then worked at a residential foreclosure firm, representing banks and lending institutions in the mortgage foreclosure industry for over two years. Following his work with foreclosures Matthew then began working with The Department of Children and Families representing the State of Florida in their efforts to protect abused and neglected children for over two years. Before coming to Mowrey Law Firm, Matthew had been working for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation prosecuting contractors and others involved in the construction industry for violations of the regulations of their contractor’s license.
